Round-based survival FPS

Restore the facility. Outlast what woke beneath it.

Touch controls are built in — a move stick, drag to aim, and a thumb cluster for fire, reload, and interact — but they are not good enough to recommend. This is a fast shooter that asks for precise aim and a steady frame rate, and a phone delivers neither well enough to be worth your time. Play it on a desktop.

About the game

Enter the world.

Backline: Undead is a round-based first-person survival game inspired by the tension and progression of classic Zombies modes. Ten connected facility zones, eleven base weapons, Pack-a-Punch variants, perks, ammo mods, special rounds, objectives, secrets, and procedural enemies turn each run into a route-planning problem as much as a firefight. The environment, characters, materials, animation, effects, ambience, music, and weapon audio are all authored in code.

Compatibility

The honest version.

Arcaid tells you what each build supports today, including the rough edges. That makes it easier to choose the right game for your device.

Works best when

  • Choose Deploy, then click inside the game to capture the mouse and enable audio.
  • On a phone, Deploy goes straight into the run and the on-screen controls fade in with it.
  • Restore power early, open traversal loops, and keep enough points for ammunition and route gates.
  • Escape is a true pause boundary and safely releases pointer lock.

Current limitations

  • Requires WebGL, hardware acceleration, and a modern browser.
  • The procedural material and shader build can take around twenty seconds on the first launch.
  • Touch controls appear automatically on phones and tablets; pointer lock is not required there.
  • Only settings persist; closing or restarting ends the current run.
